THE TEAM

Kfir Sharabi
Principal investigator
Kfir completed his PhD at the Hebrew University and his postdoctoral training at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.
He studies how molecular pathways regulate liver metabolism and metabolic disease. Outside the lab, he enjoys spending time
at the beach.

Rachel Barkan-Michaeli
lab manager
Rachel received her PhD from the Hebrew University and worked as a teacher for several years before joining the lab.
She manages the lab and leads a project investigating how chemokine signaling through CXCR7 and related GPCRs regulates liver metabolism in metabolic disease.
Outside the lab, she enjoys Pilates and yoga.

Naama Miron-Meir
PhD student
Naama holds a B.Sc. in Nutrition
from the Hebrew University and
is a Registered Dietitian.
She works on hormonal regulation
of hepatic mitochondria.
She is an early riser.

Hadar Bar Dagan
PhD student
Hadar holds degrees in Nutrition
and Economics from the Hebrew University
and is a Registered Dietitian.
Her work focuses on mitochondrial biology
in liver metabolism.
She is the lab’s Head of Fun.

Or Maalumi
PhD student
Or holds a B.Sc. in Nutrition
from the Hebrew University.
Her work focuses on the gut-liver axis
and how microbial metabolites
influence liver metabolism.
She likes murder case podcasts.

Roni Zuker
Undergraduate student (Amirim program)
Roni is an undergraduate student
at the Hebrew University
